Preparation & Questions

Preparing for your session

List of questions

Prepare a list of questions, as many as you like, and put them in order of importance. If there are too many we might need to clarify them together. If the idea of questions is unsettling don’t worry, I have some standard questions and during the interview we will be able to think of what you would like to address. The questions can be about anything – from life, career, relationship, family, health related issues, to spiritual and metaphysical questions. Please handwrite or print your questions in the order of importance and please don’t bring the list on your phone or your tablet device.

Some of the questions you may want to ask, may be for example:

1. Life/Spiritual questions (purpose in life, path, etc.)

What is my purpose in life? Am I on the right path? What can I do to help myself get on my spiritual path?

I had something happen in my life. (Experience, dream, knowing, etc.) What was it, and why did it happen

2. Relationship questions

Is my spouse or relative my soul mate or part of my soul group?

I have a difficult relationship with my spouse, child, sibling. Why is this, and how can it be healed?

3. Career questions

I don’t like my job or what I’m studying in school – should I quit?

What should I be doing instead?

4. Health-related questions

Why do I have this pain, allergy or illness?

Why can’t I lose weight?

Set the Intention

This is the most important thing to do before a session. Once you have decided to have a session, it is very important to set your intention that you have a clear and direct communication with the part of you that is able to provide healing and information.

Repeat to yourself as often as you can: “Ι am centred in my Higher Self. My heart is in complete alignment with my mind. I am closer to my Higher Self and I have a direct and clear communication with my Higher Self”.

Note the tense of this sentence, it’s not “I will or I will have,” it is “I am and I have.” You can then repeat this intention silently or out loud throughout your day and most importantly, right before you go to sleep at night. Thoughts and energy will automatically begin to flow to you to prepare you for your session. It is very important to set your intention.

Dreams

Try to pay attention to your dreams before your appointment. Write them down. Is your Higher Self already trying to connect with you, passing messages to you, making you aware of things to come, things to ask, feelings, emotions, memories…listen to your heart!

Do you already meditate, pray or enjoy walks in nature?

Spend this time connecting with your Higher Self and visualising a really good session. Give yourself quiet time daily to quieten your mind chatter. Light exercise prior to your appointment, like a long walk, is an excellent way to prepare for a successful session. This is another good time to repeat your intention. We want your body relaxed, but your mind quiet, alert and engaged.

Eating – Drinking

I recommend that you do not come to your session hungry. The session can last anything from 2 – 4 hours and occasionally even a little bit longer, so be sure that you have had a good light meal, before our session. You may want to pack a snack for after the session too. You will need to ground yourself after the session.

Don’t drink alcoholic and caffeinated beverages before the session or the evening before, if possible, as this can affect the session. If you are a regular morning coffee drinker, it may be better to skip your coffee to help with relaxation, or keep it to a minimum before your session.

Have no expectations

Introspective Hypnotherapy is a totally unique, different experience for each person. Your Higher Self will take you to the experience that you need to see and will tell you exactly what you need to know at this time in your life. Release any expectation of what you should feel like when you’re in a trance or what your session will be like. Just enjoy the experience and let the Universe take care of the details

Healing

Remember during the Introspective Hypnotherapy session, I am only the facilitator to help guide you on your journey. The healing is from You to you and likewise the information that you receive is from your Higher Self to you. I am not advising you in any way, only bringing you to the level of awareness where accessing this is easy for you. But it is important to know that you are responsible to allow yourself to get your own healing. Moreover, it is your own decision how to act up on the information that is given to you.

Privacy

Your session is a private affair. Guests are not invited nor welcome during the session. By all means share your recording with you friends and family later but don’t invite them to participate. Also make sure that you have listened to your recording beforehand in case you get any surprises.

Driving

It is recommended that you don’t plan on a long drive after the session. And certainly don’t listen to your recording whilst driving home.

Recording

I will provide you with a recorded copy of your session. I will email a link to you after the session. Part of the technique involves listening to your session as many times as possible afterwards. Even if your conscious mind remembers the session immediately afterwards, it can, just as some dreams can, begin to fade from your memory, even if you have had an unforgettable experience.

In addition, any healing or life improvement suggestions can and will be reinforced by listening repeatedly to the audio. The goal is to have your conscious mind “get on board” and align with your Higher Self and its goals, and accept any changes or healing you intend to occur.

Make yourself available for the hypnosis session day

This entire process can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours total (plus your travel time), and occasionally even a little bit longer. It is generally not a good idea to have additional appointments after your regression, or activities that require a great deal of concentration. You should take it easy. It is best to have some time to process your experience and give yourself an opportunity to fully return to your regular conscious day-to-day reality before attempting any complex mental tasks or strenuous physical activity.
